The most important thing to know up front: if you pay for Tinder through the App Store or Google Play, deleting the app or your profile does NOT stop the billing — you must cancel the subscription separately in your store account first.

Match rates rise far more from your profile than from any setting. Use three to five varied, well-lit photos (a clear face shot first, a full-body shot, and one showing a hobby or social setting), write a short specific bio, and open with a real line tied to her profile rather than "hey." Swipe deliberately rather than rapidly — Tinder's algorithm rewards selective, engaged users over mass right-swipers, and a tighter, more intentional approach lifts both your match rate and your reply rate.

How to delete your Tinder account
